Are there disabled facilities?Disabled customers are most welcome and we have a number of disabled regulars. The whole site is wheelchair accessible and there is a disabled toilet just outside the main entrance gate.
Can I bring my own food and drink?Picnics are not permitted at RAJF 08. We offer a wide choice of high-quality foods from around the globe.
Alcoholic drinks must NOT be brought in - this is a licensing restriction.
May I smoke at RAJF?On 1st July 2007 new laws came into effect which ban smoking at public events. RAJF 07 was the first large event in Chichester where the new laws applied! If we see you smoking, we will ask you politely to move to a designated area outside the RAJF tent.
When will I receive my tickets? This year we will have one mailing of tickets in early June and then weekly thereafter.
We do not mail tickets in the final week before the event. Tickets supplied for any orders received during the final week will be available at the gate. In this case please bring a copy of your email confirmation or some other identification.
Can children attend? On the whole we don't think that an event involving lots of beer and wine is an ideal place to bring children. Our policy is that children under 12 will not be admitted. Young people between 12 and 18 are welcome provided they are accompanied by a responsible adult. But they must buy a full ticket, must be kept out of the bar area and must not consume any alcohol!
The exception to this is the Saturday afternoon Jazz in the Park session where accompanied children under 12 are admitted at no extra charge.
Can I get food? This year we will have a comprehensive food village just outside the main tent. We plan to have three or four high quality caterers selling some tasty food to complement the real ale and wine. This will include organic meat items, Thai food and vegetarian choices.
Is there seating? We provide a limited number of chairs and tables. This is because we find that the majority prefer to stand in front of the stage, to dance or to stand while supping. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis. Some customers queue from about 6pm to get the best seats.
My ticket hasn't got a stub - is this OK?In 2005 we sent our customers a ticket with stub attached. Last year we decided that the stub fulfilled no useful purpose, and this year also all you get is a simple ticket. When you arrive at RAJF your ticket will be exchanged for a wristband which, for security purposes, we ask you to wear for the entire evening.
Can I bring my dog?We regret that we do not permit dogs at our event. It can get crowded and the music is as loud as the local authorities will permit. Dogs might get frightened and they might give rise to health and safety problems.
We will make special arrangements for guide dogs - please contact us to discuss.
